01. “Five Friends”
Four world-class tattoo artists unite to turn what was once just a dream into a thriving business as they open up a tattoo shop in Miami’s South Beach, along with their new apprentice Yoji. Their first client is world-class surfer Sonny Garcia, who wants a map of his native Hawaii tattooed across his abdomen.
02. “Never Forget”
As the business grows, the guys of Miami Ink struggle with the pressure of balancing their personal life and work. A mother and daughter come in to affirm their continuing bonds with each other by getting tattooed together. And Yoji decides to propose to his girlfriend.
03. “In Memory Of...”
Several clients come in for tattoos that honor lost loved ones, including an old friend of Ami's who wants to memorialize the loss of his cousin. Ami and crew must also deal with changes and transformations in their lives and relationships, including the wedding of Yoji to his fiancée Bridgette in a beautiful beach ceremony.
04. “Growing Up”
While the gang adjusts to the responsibility of owning their own business, a list of celebrity clientele wait months for their turn under the needle with the masters. We also look back at how the four originally became friends, separated and traveled all over the country, and finally returned to South Beach.
05. “The Apprentice”
Yoji learns the hard way that he has a long way to go before the guys let him tattoo for real. The shop has a constant flow of clients and characters, including their first return customer; a former Skid Row band member gets tatooed with his kids names.
06. “The Family”
Johnny Messner visits the tattoo salon. Also, the Miami Ink family gets a little bit bigger when Brigette and Yoji's beauiful daughter is born.
07. “Going for the Gold”
A medal-winning Paralympic athlete comes in to get his tribal tattoo completed. Meanwhile, Yoji and Bridgette bring Sydney to the shop to meet the others.
08. “Bad Break”
Darren Brass takes a little spill and breaks his elbow, so Ami brings in a new girl from Los Angeles to substitute for a few weeks.
09. “Kat's in the Groove”
After last week's episode where Kat was brought in to help out, she's now settled in and having fun doing some great artwork. Kat tattoos the Virgin Mary on Darren's wife, and some family members come to visit the shop.
10. “Finding Balance”
While exercising to get into better physical shape, Ami revives an old back injury. Meanwhile, the gang are hesitant to let Yoji handle a solo tattoo job on a woman.
11. “More Money, More Problems”
Trouble and confusion are brewing with the artists. They learn that as you get more money, you also get more problems. Ami buys his dream car and Darren puts his life and career on the line by drinking too much.
12. “Step Up or Step Out”
Yoji learns that he must show improvement in his drawing skills or Ami will remove him from his apprenticeship.
13. “Party All the Time”
Nunez's partying starts to get in the way of his work and demeans the shop's reputation. Meanwhile, Ami spends time with his mother, who is visiting from Israel.
14. “Weathering the Storm”
Tensions rise when Ami leaves town just as a huge storm is about to hit and leaves Chris Nunez in charge. Meanwhile, Darren tries to convince his wife to leave Connecticut and join him.
15. “Kat's Return, Ami's Ride”
Kat makes a surprise visit from Los Angeles, delighting the overworked staff, and Ami tries to get past the memory of a past accident and resume rising a motorcycle.
16. “Hawaii”
On a trip to Oahu, Hawaii, Ami James and Chris Garver meet Keoni Nunez who teaches them traditional Polynesian tattooing. Next, they sit in at a shop in Honolulu and tattoo six locals.

17. “While Ami's Away”
Kat stays on and helps out while Ami and Chris are vacationing in Hawaii. Now under the temporary management of Nunez, the shop is kept busy doing an intricate Alphonse Mucha design for a breast-cancer survivor and a special tattoo for custom-motorcycle builder Billy Lane. Meanwhile, apprentice Yoji gets his first solo job for a paying customer.
18. “Rock 'n' Roll All Night”
Garver works on a guardian angel design while Ami finishes a Hindu-inspired piece and then undertakes a Hawaiian-themed design. However, with so much work to do, the long hours are getting to everyone.
19. “The Ink That Binds”
Darren does an inspirational tattoo to honor a man's uncle, while Garver does one for a woman who has struggled for years to overcome an eating disorder. Yoji's long work hours are affecting his family life, and the gang offers to look after his daughter while he and his wife see a family therapist. Meanwhile, the guys are jealous of Nunez's lunch date, and Ami places a radio ad for a friend who is looking for a fiancee.
20. “Goodbye Freedom”
Darren's wife finally moves to Miami, forcing him to give up his notorious partying. Meanwhile, Yoji and Ami participate in a celebrity ping-pong tournament to benefit underprivileged kids. Nunez gives a young girl the design of her dreams, then helps another with an image to keep her mother's memory alive. Meanwhile, Darren gives his father a first tattoo, and Garver places an image of the World Trade Center on a skateboarder.
21. “Made in Japan”
Against Ami's wishes, Yoji gets a Mohawk haircut and adds a tattoo to his head. But Ami can't complain too much when apprentice Yoji finally gets his first paying client. Ami does a rosary design for a girl in memory of her grandfather, Darren makes a design to remind a rock musician that you only live once, and Garver creates a skull tattoo. Later, the guys temporarily leave the tattoo world and collaborate on paintings for an international art show.

When Ami's buddy Yaniv comes to Miami with his Japanese apprentice Kosuke, to drop off Ami's bike, Ami and Yaniv decide to swap apprentices for the day, leaving Yoji to experience a new world of grease.

Yoji moves his family into a larger place. Kat does a tattoo of slain pop singer Selena for her brother. Darren has Garver give him a tattoo in the image of his tiny dog, Pachuco.

Ami's dog Bella goes wild in the shop, so Nunez and Yoji decide to pay for her to be professionally trained. A fan of Nunez's work comes in for a tattoo that will serve to put the past behind her. A friend of Ami's comes in from Seattle to have a Hanya mask added to her arm.
30. “Kat and Oliver Quality Time”
Living in a different time zone from her husband Oliver is taking a toll on Kat's marriage, so when he comes to visit they consult a psychic for counseling. Nunez creates a memorial to a client's dog. Ami makes a complex back design in tribute to Eastern medicine.
31. “Back to their Roots”
Graffiti artist G-Wiz has abandoned illegal activities in favor of a mural project for a local charity, and asks Darren and Nuñez to assist, but they aren't sure if they still have the necessary skills.
32. “Kat's Cooking”
Kat comes up with a design that's a tribute to extreme sports, gets a cooking lesson, and is visited by her mom. Garver creates a design for a woman in the style of a 1940s-style pinup.
33. “Yoji's Dilemma”
Yoji decides to put together a punk-rock band. Garver resumes work on Nunez's back tattoo after an eight-year hiatus. Ami continues his detail work on tattoos of a pin-up girl and a motorcycle.

Ami and Nunez's bar may not open as scheduled because of problems with their business partners.
35. “American Chopper”
Ami and Nunez do some tattoos for the gang at "American Chopper."

Problems mount between Ami and Kat as a friend of Kat's visits the shop.

When Kat Von D leaves for L.A., Ami and Nunez have to find a new artist to replace her. The first applicant is Tasi Lyn from Long Beach, California. Meanwhile, Garver helps a woman who wants a vampire-related tattoo.
38. “Staff, Staff, Staff”
Things are getting busier, but Ami and Nunez still need more staff at the shop and the bar. Meanwhile, Ami creates a double-happiness design.
39. “Old Friends”
With Kat gone back to LA to open her own shop, Garver's old pal Tim Hendricks is recruited as a guest artist. Ami inks a traditional owl tattoo to honor customer Samantha's grandmother, and Garver does a bearded back piece for BMX rider Matt.
40. “Facing Changes”
An artist from New York City, Miss D'Jo, gets a tryout as Kat's replacement. She and Chris work on a family portrait with a film theme. Meanwhile, Darren creates an impressive phoenix to symbolize customer Humberto's rebirth after a troubled childhood.
41. “Garver Gets Commissioned”
Garver is asked to paint a piece of art that will hang in a model home. Yoji gives customers Jasmine and Ali matching tattoos to show their love for each other. Meanwhile, Nunez inks a tattoo on a woman dressed as a mermaid.
42. “Viva Las Vegas”
Ami and Nunez head to Las Vegas so a major promoter can teach them the tricks of success for their bar, Love/Hate. Meanwhile, back at the shop, Darren gets acclaimed tattoo artist Joe Capobianco to fill in.
43. “Nothing Lasts Forever”
Ami divides his time between days at the tattoo shop and nights at the new bar, but becomes annoyed that Nunez is spending so much time at the bar.
44. “No Regrets”
Nunez and Ami's partnership reaches a critical point and they must decide if they should dissolve their business relationship and go back to just being friends. Meanwhile, Garver undertakes a woman's elaborate peacock tattoo, and Darren inks a pin-up girl on the back of a 300-lb woman.
45. “Ami's Anger”
Ami is stressed with finding a new artist while running the shop and the new bar. Guest artist Virginia is worried about Ami's anger so Garver steps in to help make her feel welcome. Yoji makes a mistake and Darren has a client who keeps changing his mind.
46. “Skate or Die!”
Yoji's been working out and gaining weight, training with a famous martial arts fighter to combat Ami's bullying. Meanwhile, Ami and Garver design skateboards for a skate racing competition.
47. “Speed Racer”
Nunez has a problem with speed... speeding tickets, that is. Ami sends Nunez to drag racing school to cure him of his inner speed demon. He's a natural, showing us what he's made of in a race against a pro driver. Meanwhile, Miss Kim drops by the shop for a tattoo.
48. “Makin' the Big Leagues”
The Florida Marlins baseball club enlists the Miami Ink tattooists to design a temporary tattoo for their fans. In return, the team lets the boys throw the first pitch.
49. “Through Thick and Thin”
Ami & Nunez are asked to judge a bikini contest. Darren & Chris are both looking for time off from the shop but for different reasons, leaving Ami stressed.
50. “Make or Break”
Ami agrees to open a new shop.
51. “We Are Family”
Dre needs to pass her certification test, while Darren faces major life changes.
52. “Tim's Pinups”
Yoji is stressing out and needs a quiet lunch with his wife, so Ami baby sits Syd for them.
53. “House Hunting”
Yoji develops a skin disease.

Ami teaches an art class at Miami Children's hospital and brings the kids' drawings to life through animation.
55. “Blast Off!”
Ami, Nunez, Darren and Dre head out to Cape Canaveral to see the space shuttle launch, discovering that traveling in an RV isn't exactly "luxury!"
56. “Dre's Stylin'”
Nunez buys his mom a house and helps with the move. Ami learns Jujitsu with young martial artists. An Italian admirer of Garver gets tattooed, while Tim and Nunez give some brothers matching scars.
57. “Ami and Yoji Come to Blows”
The gang are refused entrance on the golf course because they're not dressed appropriately. After a updating their attire, they hit the links only to have it turn into a showdown, Miami Ink style.
58. “Dre Demands Respect”
Ever since the episode "Blast Off", Dre has felt like she's not part of the team since her name is the only one not up on the shop's window. Darren helps a woman honor the loss of her husband with an unusual tattoo.
59. “Ruthless and Toothless”
Yoji and Darren can't agree on the designs for a tattoo-based baby clothing line. While Ami tattoos a cherry blossom on Vanessa to get over a hard relationship.
60. “New Orleans Special”
In "Dre Demands Respect", Ami was invited to post-Katrina New Orleans by one of the disaster relief workers. So the crew decide to take up the offer and become guest artists at their friend's tattoo shop, Eye Candy, thereby helping to revitalize the local economy by encouraging the spending of a lot of tourist money.
61. “Hanging with the Hiradas”
Yoji, Bridget and baby Sidney visit Yoji's mom in Japan so she can see her granddaughter for the first time. Darren is asked by young patient's doctor to use his artistic skills to help the kid.
62. “And Baby Makes Three”
Darren and Talea prepare for the baby. Ami gets overwhelmed when he produces a mixed martial arts fight night. Meanwhile, Nunez helps a cancer survivor regain some balance.
